A call out to all Australians!
Get behind Cadel Evans in the crucial final time trial of the Tour de France in his bid to become the first Australian to win the race!
Find out how…
BRECKENRIDGE — Upstairs, just like so many other Breckenridge households this time of year, the Tour de France is playing to no one in particular on a television you can hear but not see, leaving just the announcers’ voices to tell the story as the day’s rerun rolls into its fourth hour.
Downstairs, seven elite junior cyclists sit around a living room, some on chairs, others on the floor, all of them wearing at least two different tan lines on their thighs from days spent sweating in the high-altitude sun.
Australian rider Simon Gerrans is leaving one French ProTour team for another.
Sorry about the gap between entries but I have had a lot of Internet trouble and since my return to Australia things have been hectic to say the least, but finally we have had some nice weather welcome us in victoria and the real season is about to kick off!!!!
Since returning to Australia, I have been carrying a bug which just wont bugger off, I seem to be on the end of it now but that’s 5 weeks now that it has stuck around.
CCCC had the biggest representation at the Team’s Championships in Miner’s Rest, and saw some great performances in all categories on a very cool and windy day.
The outstanding rides of the day included that of our Elite Women’s team. Tess Downing, Jenny Macpherson, Clare Vlahopolous and Nicole Whitburn romped to the win, despite Tess losing contact on the run home after a near miss with passing traffic.
The Division 1 wheel-race will run this Friday

Well as you know I’m back at home after finishing outside the time limit during the stage to Tignes due to my injuries sustained in my stage 1 crash. The biggest problem in the end was not my wrist which was sprained but my right knee which I also landed heavily on. I’ve had a scan at hospital in Geraardsbergen.

Report:
It was almost a perfect night! The racing was sensational, the program was flying along with a good rhythm and the atmosphere was electric. That was until Division 2’s Round 3 event when an unfortunate fall saw 6 riders crash.
Australian cyclist Alex Rhodes will join compatriot Katie Brown (Vrienden Van Het Platteland) in returning to the event where the horrific crash that claimed the life of the pair’s Australian Institute of Sport teammate Amy Gillett took place, after being named in her T-Mobile squad’s lineup for the 20th Internationale Thüringen-Rundfahrt der Frauen.
