Hi all, I have just got off the phone to Stuey and have this update  for all concerned. Stuart has left his France hospital and has been transported to Monaco where’s he’s based. It was a four hour road trip in a special ambulance with a floating bed.

Results: Tour of Gippsland, Stage 5, VIC (TC)

Zak Dempster of the SA.com/AIS continental cycling team has taken out stage 5 of the Tour of Gippsland, giving his team back to back victories after Will Ford’s stage 4 win. In a show of strenth by the top two riders in the tour, Dempster won from Chris Jory of NSW. Jory, who is one of NSW’s brightest young talents is now sitting in 2nd overall just 8 seconds away from Dempster.

Cream of Victorian junior cycling on show this weekend in Wangaratta

The future stars of Victorian cycling will be on show this weekend as the 2007 Victorian Junior Road Championships are staged in Wangaratta. 

160 riders will head out from the Wangaratta Saleyard Complex on Saturday to complete the Time Trial, whilst 169 will contest the Road Championships on Sunday.

Regrettably, few of our Elite Women cyclists have supported the event leaving the promoters to absorb financial losses and very little to go to potential sponsors with in trying to attract future sponsorship.
