Stuart O’Grady is back on his bike after a week or so on the home trainer. The winner of this year’s Paris-Roubaix hit the streets of Monaco for the first time since his Tour de France crash.
“I managed to build it up to seventy kilometres yesterday, and I’m feeling extra good,” he said. “I don’t think I’ll ride in Europe again this season, and [I] expect to head home to Australia in September or early October.”

Tasmania’s Mark Jamieson has taken out his first stage of this years tour, riding in solo ahead of his team mate and yesterday’s stage winner Peter Dawson.
Jamieson, a multiple world champion on the track, has had a frustrating season this year but has finally regained the form he always knew he had. All riders finished in the main peloton apart from Simon Brown, Jeremy Hills and Travis Frisby who finished over 25 minutes behind.

Grant Irwin of the Ord Minett Racing Team has taken his third stage of the Tour of the Murray, a 33km criterium in Merbein.
Irwin out sprinted Gary Mueller and Nick Sanderson to take the win and in doing so decreased the margin Peter McDonald has in the overall classification.
