NSW Masters Championships news

The NSW Masters Championships  are fast approaching, here are a few snippets of information which may help with your planning;

Please note that being Championship events, the entry cut off is 2 weeks beforehand ie. Sunday 16th September. No late entries – so why not enter NOW via the NSW Cycling Website http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/frameset/entry.htm

All competitors will be racing in their 2007 category, even though  October 1st is the first day of new age categories for 2008.

The Road and Criterium Course is approx. 15-20 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. www.portmaccycleclub.com.au . Competitors must sign on  at least 15mins before advertised start time.

Your entry fee for the Road Race includes a Pasta Night Dinner which starts at 6.30pm at the Port Macquarie Race Club (guaranteed Equine Flue free!!). Family and friends are welcome to attend at $20 per head for adults and $10 per head for children 10 and under. Dinner includes a variety of pasta dishes, salad, bread rolls and desert, tea and coffee. Bar service will be available. It will not be a late night, so you will be fresh for the Criterium the following day.  You will be given your dinner ticket at sign on and can purchase additional tickets at the same time. Please email info@portmaccycleclub.com.au with the number of extra tickets you require.

Great Prize Money on offer for all Categories including KOM in the Road Race and Primes in the Criterium. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category (with 3 or more competitors) will also be awarded NSW Championship medals.

Riders will be  given KOM  points on the second and third laps of each race. The rider with the highest KOM aggregate in each race will win a KOM Jersey .  NB: The KOM judging point is in a different location to last year, so check it out before you race.

There will be riders of all ability and level of fitness competing, so don’t feel you will be out of your depth.

There will be a Gourmet Canteen and Coffee Van at the venue.
