Former top Victorian cyclist Spencer Stevens passed away earlier this week, aged 83. Spencer was a member of a highly successful cycling family, with his father and two elder brothers all reaching great heights. Spencer won Tasmania’s most prestigious track event, the Latrobe Wheelrace in 1945, just two days after his 22nd birthday.

Rider Diary: Joel Pearson…Racking up the wins in France

Hey everyone,
I scored my 5th win of the season on Monday in the Trophee Avon Moros. The race was blown to pieces because of the wind and we came into the finish with around 10 riders in the bunch. My team mate gave me a perfect lead out in the last couple of k’s to take it out. After this stage I over took the yellow jersey as well as the green.
