Rider Diary: Joel Pearson…Racking up the wins in France

PearsonHey everyone,

I scored my 5th win of the season on Monday in the Trophee Avon Moros. The race was blown to pieces because of the wind and we came into the finish with around 10 riders in the bunch. My team mate gave me a perfect lead out in the last couple of k’s to take it out. After this stage I over took the yellow jersey as well as the green.

The next day I run 3rd, there were 3 guys down the road with 5k to go and I bridged accross to them solo. I caught up with 500mtrs to go and had no legs in the sprint and run 3rd but extended my lead in the yellow jersey. The jerseys are done on a points classification and the next races in the series are in the next couple of weeks so ill update you then.

Next Saturday we race GP Plouay which is a Pro Tour race on the sunday, Its highly renowned in france so hopefully I can pull something out of the bag there.
