A beautiful day of weather greeted the junior riders at the Stromlo Forest Park for the Australian Junior Criterium Championships.

Riders were all feeling the heat and the fatigue after two hard days of racing around the outer Canberra area.

DSC_6536sJessica Allen and Jackson Law were both looking to make it three  from three for nationals, further proving that they are the strongest at this year’s championships and stars of the future.

Crashes marred the U17 championships on the technical course, with only the strongest and technically minded coming out on top.

Results: Tour of the Murray River, Stage 11, Vic (TC)

The best win to show cycling supporters that is a deserved leader of the tour was to win a stage and that’s exactly what Peter McDonald did at Loxton. In the history making first ever Tour of the Murray River stage race in South Australia, McDonald won a tough 42-kilometre criterium around a picturesque circuit. The 28 year-old Sydneysider extended his overall lead from 25 seconds to Grant Irwin and 33 seconds to Patrick Shaw to a commanding 1.33 minute and 1′41″ minute respectively.
