Goodbye forum, hello photo gallery!

gallerylook As important to us to be constantly adding new features and  functionality for all the readers of cyclingresults.net, sometimes we have to retire or prune things that just didn’t work out or that we don’t have time to focus on right now.

So today we bid farewell to the Forum, which was a good way for everyone to communicate about the cycling world. However it never grew out of that awkward teenager stage, and wasn’t used very frequently.

But the best thing to come out of this is that we have created a new, wonderful and amazing photo gallery! Here you can view photos from all the races at just a click of a button. We have already added nearly photo galleries already.

Aussies Sweep Fourth Place in World Downhill Qualifying

Australian downhill riders have shown the world their potential in the qualifying round of the World Downhill Mountain Bike Championships at Fort William, Scotland. Australia’s best managed to qualify fourth in all four events.

Davis does a ‘Zabel’ as Erik takes the stage

fs029Queensland’s sprint star Allan Davis has come so close to winning a  stage in the Vuelta a España overnight.

Davis initially thought he had won the stage, raising his arms in celebration, only to be beaten on the line by veteran Erik Zabel.

Cyclewestcoach.com continue their success

Cwc.com riders in their new “Team Budget FL” strip continue to prove they are amongst the very best in Australia with a top showing at the National Junior Championships in Canberra recently.

The majority or riders are members of the strong Midland Cycle Club in WA and the combined resources of the MCC, cwc.com and support from sponsors assisted in the outstanding results.

Race Preview: The Goulburn to Citi Classic

The cream of Australia’s top professional teams are entering the Goulburn to Citi Cycle Classic to be held Sunday, September 23, 2007.

Although negotiations are yet to be finalised, this year’s race may Poster(4) be the grand final of the National Racing Series (NRS) for the team and individual competitions. Four teams from four states are still in contention to become the national teams’ champion which will be determined by the Goulburn to Citi.
