The Tour of Tasmania will be held from October 2 - 7 and, as Tour director John Craven put it, “The rivalry will be fierce, but the competition healthy.”
Englishman Kristian House, decisive winner of the 2006 Jacyo Tour of Tasmania road cycling classic, will defend his title next month in pressure-cooker circumstances.

At the recent risk management seminar arranged by CSA, SAPOL made it clear that they are totally against Regency Pk racing.
NCC members have discussed this matter and will do everything possible to ensure this Summer’s 20th anniversary of Regency Park Crits happens.

Hawke’s Bay cyclists are “over the moon” at the prospect of getting their tyres on to the track of an $11.5 million covered velodrome. The velodrome is to be included in a $50 million regional sports park being built on the outskirts of Hastings. Ramblers Cycling Club chairman Ivan Aplin said yesterday that the velodrome was a dream come true for cyclists, with some club members waiting 30 years for it.

Karl Stretch Murray has just rocketed into the Maillot Jaune in the Tour of New Caledonia. Murray who is having one of his best seasons ever took the 103km 2nd stage from a five man breakaway.
