South Australia.com/AIS’ Cameron Meyer is rumored to ride for the newly named Garmin-Chipotle Professional cycling team as a stagiaire for the rest of the 2008 season.
Meyer, who has won numerous world junior championships, will join the team after the Tour de France, gaining valuable experience with one of the world’s most promising and successful teams.

With the introduction of the Oakley Radar last year, it was thought that the Oakley M Frame would quickly disappear off the radar (pardon the pun), but think again. The M Frame is still live and kicking and is still being used by some of the worlds top pro riders such as Liquigas’ Filippo Pozzato, LPR’s Danilo Di Luca and Gerolsteiner’s Davide Rebellin.

“I have seen some of the many email messages sent, however I can’t download them as quickly as I would like in hospital”. “I am told that an amazing amount have come in from all parts of the world”. “I will get through everyone and just want to say thanks to everyone, it’s bloody great, I didn’t think I knew that many people”.

Hi all, I have just got off the phone to Stuey and have this update for all concerned. Stuart has left his France hospital and has been transported to Monaco where’s he’s based. It was a four hour road trip in a special ambulance with a floating bed.

Hi everyone!
Well as you know I’m back at home after finishing outside the time limit during the stage to Tignes due to my injuries sustained in my stage 1 crash. The biggest problem in the end was not my wrist which was sprained but my right knee which I also landed heavily on. I’ve had a scan at hospital in Geraardsbergen.

Stuart O’Grady remains in hospital in France and should be hospital bound for some time. He’s smiling and even managed to give his brother Darren a ‘middle finger salute’ when asked how he was feeling. So he’s lost none of that cheekiness we have all grown to love about Stuey.

Australian Stuart O’Grady escaped serious spinal injuries, according to hospital officials who treated him after a crash in the eighth stage of the Tour de France on Sunday.

Australian Brett Lancaster (Milram) has withdrawn from the Tour de France during the fifth stage due to injuries sustained during a crash on stage one from London to Canterbury. Back pain and damage to his sciatic nerve are believed to be the problem.
Lancaster was originally selected in the team to be one of the key lead out men for Italian super star Alessandro Petacchi, but the team leader was stopped from riding after recording a non negative test for an asthma medication.
